Here’s the synopsis: Brian Burke, Brian Burke, Leafs, Brian Burke…Barry Melrose, Barry Melrose, Barry Melrose.
Then, at the very end of the segment, Ron MacLean dropped the following (very telling) statement:
“We don’t have time to talk about Ottawa.”

Part of the reason it’s a bit frustrating is that this is the CBC, C as in Canadian. Unless St. Louis was doing amazing, as an American team, they won’t rate high on the broadcast. I would not expect MSG’s broadcasts to feature much commentary about Canadian teams, unless they’re facing them.
That’s the other fun part. Even when the CBC is broadcasting HNIC featuring the Sens (and sometimes, during that timeslot, only the Sens), there’s still no Sens talk.
Yes, they’re losing. Past several seasons to varying degrees that’s been the boat of Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
