ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired goaltender Justin Pogge from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a conditional selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Well, the writing was on the wall here. I do not believe that Pogge was given an adequate chance with the Leafs, but I think the beautiful atmosphere of Anaheim will be great for him. Expectations are much less, and he will have the proper environment to develop properly.
I remember a time when the Northeast Division fans were looking forward to future goalie battles between Price, Pogge, Glass and Rask. Should they all have remained with their respective teams, I still think Price would have came up on top.
