Oh Huet

from Daryl Reaugh of Razor With An Edge,
Great Swiss sieves from past include Marty Gerber, Tobias Stephan - and now the Struggling Swiss-Franc, Mr. Huet. All of them graduates of the Equipment-Cheat, Fall-On-Your-Knees School of Swiss Netminder Capitulation.
I’ll admit I let in some bad goals in my time, and I’ve witnessed some goose-down soft tallies covering the National League of Hockey with my eyeballs and throat, but I have never been privy to a more “WTF Were You Doing?” goal than Stephane Robidas eventual game winner that bewildered Huet and devistated the Hawk Nation in Chicago last night.
I’m on the flight back home trying to figure out how a $5M goalie can let a puck shot from center, that was aimed 40 feet wide of the net, and hit a glass support, bounced twice, was then headed in front of the goal to the other corner, get past him.
more and in cased you missed the goal, it can be viewed here…

Why the clowns in Dallas continue to give a moron like Reaugh a forum to spill his stupidity is beyond me…

I don’t know if this was in the article before but the first paragraph says:
“Let me first say that I don’t really care for Swiss goalies or “France” goalies who played/trained in Swtzerlamd”
Spelling error aside, it looks like he does know Huet is French. I’m not a fan of Reaugh so I’d be willing to believe he edited it after someone pointed it out

The “France” comment in Reaugh’s blog was definitely not there originally. He edited it after the fact.
His whole blog is a joke. Trying too hard to be funny, but failing miserably. Since when does an NHL team allow its color analyst to spew gratuitous personal attacks about a particular player, or a group of players from a particular country? Completely, 100%, unprofessional. What an embarrasement. I’m glad I’m not a Stars’ fan.

Hanging that goal on huet is poor taste. Honestly, I feel sorry for the guy (not about the goal) for the sole reason that Chicago’s defense has NEVER been that great with him in goal. They’re not a defensive team and teams that are not defensive tend to give up a lot of goals. Huet is not Roy, but he’s more solid than people give him credit for.

Nice acticle Daryl. But I think the premise only works if Huet is actually Swiss, eh?
