via 630 CHED,
The Oilers have re-signed tough guy Zack Stortini to a 3 year contract. Stortini had 201 penalty minutes in 66 games for the Oilers last season and was among the league leader in fights.
The Oilers have also added some depth to their minor league system today by signing former Detroit Red Wings farmhand Carl Corazzini to a 1 year contract.

Is Zach Stortini really tough? Sure, he fights here and there. But, he gets beat up 99% of the time! I guess the Oilers really don’t have much to work with. I guess it makes financial sense if they signed him @ the leage minimum.

I think this says something about the depth the Wings have in GR this year. Corazzini was 24-36-60 in 80 games with the Griffins last year. If they or the Wings didn’t sign him for this season, it must mean they feel they can replace his productivity with the players they have.

I wonder if they plan on signing Horcoff at some point - unless I missed it.
