from David Staples of The Cult of Hockey,
GM Steve Tambellini of the Oilers talked to the Oilers own analyst Bob Stauffer on the Team 1260.
Tambellini on Sheldon Souray: “Our intention is still, we’re trying to find some way where we can make a trade, some sort of scenario that can help another hockey club and it’s been difficult to do.”
Stauffer asked if anybody had made any offers at all, such as the Oilers taking back a bad contract.
“There hasn’t been an opportunity yet to make a deal,” Tambellini said.
Is it an option to bring him back? “I’m not going there at this point. I don’t want to go there because I’m focused on trying to make a deal and I want other teams to know that, too.”

Too much baggage with Souray. Oilers are going to have to buy him out if they want him off the roster. Nobody’s taking on that salary.
