Old School- Beliveau Had Influence On Ref

Ian (Scotty) Morrison was never a teammate of Jean Beliveau’s, but he credits the Canadiens great with putting him on the path to a Hall of Fame career in hockey.
During the late 1940s, Morrison and Beliveau were playing junior hockey in Quebec City - Morrison with Palestre Nationale and Beliveau with the Citadelles.
“We were playing Quebec in the semifinals and one of our coaches (Mickey Hennessy) came up with the brilliant suggestion that I would shadow Beliveau,” Morrison recalled
