General manager Ken Holland said Osgood will be sent for tests once the team returns from this road trip. He said Osgood had been playing with the injury, which was minor.
“He’s had a nagging groin (issue) for a while,’’ Holland said. “He’s been playing with it. He played with it in Colorado (on Dec. 27, his 400th win).’‘
Osgood missed all of November with a strained groin.

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood is expected to see Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia this week to determine if he needs surgery for his groin injury.

Okay, so let me get this straight. This isn’t January 2011 after all? It’s really January 2010 and we have to relive that fricking nightmare all over again.
And here I thought “Groundhog Day” was just a movie. Who knew?
