Lingering pain above Dominik Hasek’s knee means that Chris Osgood will get his first start of the season tonight against Calgary.
Hasek will back-up Osgood.

George Johnson, Calgary Herald (and ESPN contributor), has written a piece paying homage to both Dante and the Halloween season; regarding the (F)lame/Wings game tonite at the Joe. Here’s a snippet:

BTW: Macleod at Red Wing Corner also reports on Uncle Mikes position on pairing Dats/Zet again on the same line with Homer for tonites game:
“Coach Mike Babcock said after Tuesday’s practice that he would wait until game-time, Wednesday, to decide whether to put Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg on the same line. The pair practiced together Tuesday as the team worked with the same lines used in Monday’s win over Edmonton.
“Whatever leads you to winning is the best way,” said Babcock. “So if you’re on a roll and they’re playing together, then that’s great. If it’s not and they’re shutting you down because you’ve got one unit, that’s not as good. We’d like them not to play together, but I like winning.”

Any takers on the over/under for attendance tonite? Hows 15,500?? Or hows this one, Drake/Draper/Cleary are the starting forwards. Referencing Johnson’s article look for tonite to be heavy hitting.
