What a deal for the Jackets. They basically give up nothing (Leclaire wasn’t even playing) and get more secondary scoring. Oh boy, look out for those BJ’s.
What a dream (travel wise) a series with Columbus would be for Detroit and/or Chicago who are usually headed for the West Coast come playoff time.

we could seriously have 4 ( maybe even 5) central teams in the playoffs this year..

I think it’s a great deal for both teams. Jackets get rid of a goalie they aren’t using and get a good player in Vermette and Ottawa gets a proven goalie (although injuries could definitely make this a dream for Columbus). I’m sure the BJ’s will do some more since they freed up cap space there.

I dont mind this trade as a Sens fan
It seems that Leclaire’s injuries were accidents and not a problem with his physiology (ie. Bad back, bad groin). Plus Ottawa gets a 2nd rounder (according to TSN)

Hour and a half to get the text alert from NHL….

wow 1.5 hours.. That sucks. I know TSN does text alerts as well.
NHL might not do them until the paperwork has been finalized though

They don’t send them to US cell companies though….
