Out On The Town Or Watching Hockey?

My plans for tonight is to have a few close friends over to watch some hockey and when the games are over, bring in the New Year.

Anyone out there have any unique plans for tonight?

The schedule for tonight is below with 22 teams in action…

Also, I’ve heard Olympic hockey jerseys and apparel is flying out the door at IceJerseys.com.

Previous experience is many of the items get sold out early, so get your orders in before everything is gone.

Thanks to many of you too for making making your purchases through the KK affiliate link to IceJerseys.com.  It sure does help with the cost of running KK.

Well, as of now it’s a toss-up between attending a huge bash with people wall to wall, food everywhere, with rivers of champagne and beer flowing freely ...

or…

Staying at home, mixing a vodka or eight, and switching between the Red Wings, US-Canada, and “The Twilight Zone” marathon on Sci Fi.

Right now, option two is winning.

Good choice RW.  Remember, it is amateur night if you go out.

We will be staying in tonight to watch the Red Wings game on CI.  It works out well because my wife has a stomach virus that forced us to go to the hospital last night.  She is 34 weeks pregnant and had symptoms of contractions, so everybody wanted to make sure the baby is ok.  The baby is doing fine and there is no labor, so we are just going to rest and relax at home this weekend.

Enjoy your evening, everyone!

I’ll be heading to the Blue Jackets game-it’s become a tradition for us.  I think there have only been 3 years when we didn’t have a home game on New Year’s Eve.  Then, home after the game before the drunks hit the road in the snow.  Catch some late games on Center Ice.

I’m also battling the stay in vs. go out dilemma.  Plenty of house parties to attend, but the wife’s staying home to watch Wings/Avs.

Cake and eat it too?

Happy new year everyone.

Geez, never thought of it like that.

All the hugging, and crying, and people telling you how much they love you (though they won’t glance your way when you see them in the grocery store next week) ...pffft, I’m staying home.
