Peca Won’t Be A Ranger - Deal Expected Tonight

Michael Peca will not be a Ranger this season.
Agent Don Meehan confirmed moments ago that the Rangers did not make Peca a contract offer.
Meehan said that he expected to complete negotiation on a one-year deal for the 33-year-old center within a couple of hours. Columbus appears to be the city where the former Islanders captain will be playing his home games this season.

Michael Peca is likely to sign a contract with the Blue Jackets either late tonight or early Wednesday.
It’s a one-year contract with incentives, according to a source.
As of 8:45 p.m., Peca’s agent, Don Meehan, was negotiating with Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson over the final details.
