From Dave Molinari at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,
The Penguins made their first free-agent signing this morning, agreeing to a three-year deal with forward Pascal Dupuis.
They also have agreed to the structure of a contract extension for center Evgeni Malkin, although the deal has not been finalized. Malkin’s contract will be patterned after that of Sidney Crosby, which means it will run five years and include an annual salary-cap hit of $8.7 million.
