Wow.  One of the best games I’ve ever seen, and I love to think how that goal made all the cocky A2Y jerks feel.

It is a shame that they have to take the cup and the championship T-Shirts and hats from the Joe. I still think the Wings are slightly better than the Pens but I am tired of reading all the comments from their fans that the penguins don’t belong on the same sheet of ice. It was a great game and say what you want but the Pens should their heart tonight. I will be back at the igloo on Wednesday. More Playoff hockey!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is that the Pens can thank the Hockey Gods for that one.

Actually I was thanking Marc-Andre Fleury.

“Actually I was thanking Marc-Andre Fleury.”

Isn’t Marc-Andre Fleury now officially a Hockey God??? smile

Finally the whining of Therrien and the Pens has paid off. The two goaltender interference calls took out a lot of the momentum of the wings in the first two OT’s and gave the Pens some breathing time.
Anyway, it’ll be much sweeter to lift the cup in their building in front of their fans.
GO WINGS

Klumi,
Typical Wings fan excuses.  You have to give both teams credit for that game, everyone was awesome.  The most credit goes to Fleury, and don’t you think it would make a lot more sense to say how good he was at stopping the Wings instead of complaining about the refs, which neither team has control of?

Yeah, cuz Pitt would never complain about officiating…

MAF was a beast tonight.  As somebody else said, Fleury won this game for the Pens, not Sykora.

Although I’m pulling for Detroit, this was one heck of a game.  Fleury was outstanding and simply outplayed Osgood.  How about that Joe though!  The noise was ridiculous!

Tip of the helmet to M-A Fleury, tonite.  He was the best player on the ice, for both teams.

That was great hockey!  As a died-in-the-wool Wings fan, and a fan of the sport, I have to give credit where credit is due.

The Wings were 0:35 away from shiny metal, but --and I thought the Pens were demoralized and finished—they kept it up.  AND, I thought Crosby was not much of a factor in all of that.
Well done.

Plus, the Pens did a good job on Zetterberg.  He had not very much down low.

I can’t complain about the officiating, too, because the winning goal came on a penalty call that was legit.

I will say, tho, that it’ll be nice to carry Stanley at the Igloo…
