from Darren Dreger of TSN,
The Sedin’s agent, JP Barry, will spend the next few days in Sweden preparing the 28-year old twins for their next step, unrestricted free agency.
Barry says there has been no progress in contract discussions, including a meeting this week in Montreal with Canucks gm Mike Gillis that failed to encourage a counter offer to keep the Sedin’s in Vancouver.
On the open market, the Sedin’s will command upwards of $7 million and will draw interest from a number of teams, including Toronto, Montreal, Minnesota and Los Angeles.

Well word awhile ago was 13 million for both per season… so I am guessing he means 7 each in this case. That is steep, but they can play…
Big hole for the Canucks to fill if they leave.

Tricky thing is they need to find a team that has salary and roster space for two forwards, not just one. That narrows the pool a bit right off the bat.

This is stupid. Just break them up and see if they float. What team in their right mind is going to sack 12-14 million on a contract for 2 babies who need to play together to even be effective. Is the NHL transformers? Will all the Sedins band together to become devastator? Last time I checked it wasn’t a pre-requisite for brothers to play together; that’s a luxury and usually at the end of a career (ala niedermayers). Maybe it’s the 3 staal brothers who form devastator...could be wrong.
It was a mistake to draft these 2 dorks together in the first place and I can’t recall which is the better of the two...probably henrik.

Aren’t you thinking of Voltron?

To stoneman from Vegas...When did the Sedins or the manager say that they must play in the same team??? if traded??

I didn’t see any of the Transformers movies and the afternoon cartoons were a long, long time ago - but I still remember that Hot Rod was an annoying little weenie of an Autobot.
Although Voltron never impressed me all that much, so I’ll take your word for Devastator’s superiority.

Oh man, it was all about Johnny Socko and his Flying Robot. That robot kicked everyone’s ass because that’s just how he rolls, mutherf*ckers.

i was pretty sure that hot rod got introduced in the movie only. after the movie he became rodimus prime and was only shown 3 times very briefly when he lost the matrix those 3 times.

Wait...is that $7 million for the twins or $7 million for each of the twins?
