Predators Need Offense From Top Guys

The line of Steve Sullivan, David Legwand and Martin Erat failed to produce a point in the game and combined for just three shots on goal against the Blackhawks.

Those three players have produced a total of just four points in 10 games, a major blow to the Preds considering what expectations are for the trio. Erat is making $5.25 million this season, Legwand $5 million and Sullivan $3.75 million.

“The bottom line is we need every single player in the locker room to step it up,’’ Preds goalie Dan Ellis said. “This has to be a team effort because we don’t have one superstar.

“Our best player is Shea Weber and he’s 60 feet away from the net most times, so you can’t expect him to lead the offensive threat. We need the guys that are getting paid to do it to do it.’’
