Problems In Vancouver

from the Globe and Mail,
The biggest story in British Columbia these days isn’t treaties or private health-care clinics, it’s hockey. Interest in the Vancouver Canucks seems to be evaporating.
The signs are everywhere. Sports bars that used to be packed on game nights are half empty. The team’s television ratings are down a significant 14 per cent from this time last year. You now see pockets of empty seats at Canucks games that are supposed to be sold out. People can’t give their tickets away.
It’s beginning to smell like the bad old days.

Until Mr Aquilini gets rid of Dave Nonis this team will continue to be mediocre at best.
He is a pathetically bad GM, has made some terrible decisions regarding the future of the team and hopefully a change is made soon.
He shouldnt have been hired in the first place, Ive said it all along. His acquisitions have been absolutely atrocious, he gave up too much to acquire Luongo, he has overpaid players like Cooke, Mitchell and Naslund to name just a few, and I have my fingers crossed that he will soon be shown the door in Vancouver.
Worst GM in the league and worst GM the Canucks have ever had.
