how can anyone be turned onto this sport when one of it’s marquee names behaves like an violent ass?
Players like that shouldn’t get the Cup.
that’s my story and i’m sticking to it.

Hopefully he is suspended again. Late and to the head. Repeat offender too, if the NHL does it’s job.

he wont it’s the finals, he get a heavy fine
where is the outrage over the kicking motion goal?

But he’s a superstar, and the league needs to market it’s stars! Suspending him would inconvenience the Ducks, and that could influence the series.
I’ll be surprised if anything happens—the league empty suits surprised me once, though.

well, from the kick motion goal to pronger hit. the nhl was on full display tonight. it shows how screwed up this league is under bettman’s watch

Oh, c’mon! Of course he hit him in the head, It’s a simple matter of physics, remember?!?!?!
Not that it matters, but I had no problem with the goal - good call.

The goal shouldn’t have been allowed, and Pronger should have at least gotten a penalty. Good hockey game, bad calls.

Chris Pronger is an ass hole.
I thought the Alfredsson goal was good. It looked to me like he was deflecting, and though he had forward motion he never actually made a kicking move. I liked the call.
But Chris Pronger is still an ass hole.
I can’t imagine the league would not suspend…even the idiots on VS. said he would probably be suspended and they are on league payroll! Had he not been suspended for the Holmstrom hit, I don’t think he would be suspended now. But given that he was suspended before for a hit that was not as blatant or severe, I think the league would be very hard pressed to justify not suspending him. He’s a goon and he deserves to lose the Stanley Cup in game seven again.

Sorry, I meant to say the idiots on NBC. Wrong network, same idiots on league payroll.
And did anyone else think the Crosby interview was terrible? He does not have a good presence in front of a camera. They should think about picking a new superstar to market, like Henrik Zetterberg or any member of the Detroit Red Wings.

This isnt soccer. that isnt a goal, but i wonder if that was buffalo or any other us city team in the same exact situation would they called it a goal? dont tell a nhl offical know how easy to revoke a usa passport

Cindy Crosby is Bettman’s love child
Posted by FlyersFan on 06/02/07 at 10:34 PM ET
Crosby has probably been coached to within an inch of his life on how to appear on camera without embarassing himself or saying anything remotely controversial—which means that any personality he has is submerged beneath a dense protective layer of cliches. Not the kid’s fault.
And Zetterberg isn’t the league’s golden boy. It doesn’t help that English isn’t his native language; although he speaks it much better than a lot of people I encounter who grew up speaking it! The league doesn’t even market Ovechkin as much as Crosby, and they came into the league at the same time and both play on the Eastern coast. Ovechkin is flashy enough to make an impact with his personality, too.

I saw the replay of it and it probably wouldn’t have been as bad as it seems if Dean McAmmond wasn’t knocked out and hit his head on the ice. However, I think given the fact that it’s happened more than once that Pronger has taken his frustration out on somebody else’s head when his team is down, he ought to be disciplined. I suggest Anger Management classes of some sort.
