from Drew Remenda at Seagate Broadcaster Blog,
As Kurtis Foster was laying on a opererating table getting his leg repaired, the Minnesota Wild had quickly made arrangements to get his fiance to the San Jose. Chris Snow the Wild’s Director of Hockey Operations stayed behind to make sure Kurtis Foster was getting the best possible care by keeeping the communication going between the Wild and Sharks Medical Staff. One of Kurtis’ first visitors at the hospital was Greg Jamison. The Sharks President and CEO brought by a gift basket and showed some kindness to the injured Wild Defenseman. Shortly after GM Doug Wilson dropped by.

You know, as a Predators fan, the Sharks are our Daddy and I still like them. Everything about the organization is first rate. Well, everything but Ronny Wilson, and I don’t mind him as long as he is not whining to the refs in a series with us that they always end up winning anyway.

Randy Hahn and I maintain that incident is a perfect example of why we need to get rid of the no touch icing.
I think he meant it’s a reason to have no-touch icing. Ignoring the fact that this guy can’t write two grammatically correct sentences in a row, the story itself is one that should make the headlines. Forget Pinhead stomping some defenseless player. Forget Jack-ass-man cross-checking guys in the back after the whistle blows. This is what true sportsmanship is all about.
Anyone here doubt that Ken Holland and the Wings organ-I-zation would have done what the Sharks did? I don’t.
Webster defines class as “impressive stylishness in behavior.” I’d say it’s simply “doing what’s right at the right time.” The Sharks very much did the “right thing” at exactly the right time. I’m sure Foster, his family and his fiance will never forget it. But I wish I could...because it really makes it hard to hate that team now.
