...and now they do this?  What next they bring up Rissmiller?

Wow...what an offseason for Sather. Not much help for the cause but at least there is a kind of satisfaction seeing his rep dropping a little deeper in the dumper. 5 for 5 in free agent signings that turn out to be really poor decisions and one decent trade...genius!...of course, the Master Builder could eventually blame Renney for the failings...which in itself would be rewarding. In one way we can say Sather has the system gamed: he assembled a nearly completely annoying team that still has a 95% chance of making the playoffs. zipper

Fritsche wasn’t signed - he was part of the Zherdev trade.  And as other blogs have already mentioned, I doubt that trade goes down without Fritsche’s inclusion.  If you do want to insult Sather...just mention Wade Redden

I know Fritsche was traded here...the 5 I was thinking about: Redden, Rosi, Rissie, Voros, Kalinin...all totally wrong decisions, for various reasons...Mara and Naslund round out the mess.  Mara not likely to be back, which is fine since he’s been in decline since a good start...Naslund is just weak nearly all around, except for the occasional moment when the opposition is so bored they forget to check him near the net...Heck, go back a year to the monstrous mistakes Sather made witrh Gomez and Drury...and we have a GM who is just fn awful, yet nobody ever seems to tear him the new b hole he so deserves…

That’s because they can’t find him.  Dolan keeps him hidden in a secret location for his own protection.
