The New RBK Washington Capitals Premier (replica) Home Jersey has appeared on Shop.NHL.com. Looks like a 12-14 week waiting period before it ships.
Read on for more details and the jerseys are available for a few other teams too.

I like the Caps new (old?) jerseys. The blue swooping eagle thing always looked dumb to me. I am looking forward to seeing what all of the new jerseys look like, but I am a little nervous about the Red Wings jersey…

I’m a little confused by the wording—“single layer screen-printed twill personalized name and number heat pressed on the back,” as opposed to the current replica jersey’s “heat sealed twill name and number pressed onto the jersey.”
Does this mean that the new names and numbers are simply silkscreened on the replica jerseys? That’s a huge sticking point.

I like them, I think it would be better if they were a solid red, and had the stars down the sleeves like the old though. The eagle arm patch looks out of place. Kind of like somebody drew it up for a logo and they didn’t want to hurt their feelings so they put it on the sleeve haha.

Oh god, are the 80s retro already?
Yup. Shocking how old we’re getting. I even hear music from the early 90’s on the radio sometimes referred to as “oldies.” :(

I think so. I read Tapeleg’s bit on the new jerseys, and I think the replicas are just silk-screened (he thought they were pretty stiff and cheap-looking, too), probably to encourage fans to spend more on the better quality authentic jerseys.
