Looking to add some experience to their lineup, the Atlanta Thrashers have claimed veteran winger Mark Recchi off re-entry waivers.

If Atlanta got him, that means that about 10 teams passed on the opportunity. That surprises me, I would have picked him up, even if it meant using him sparingly until the post season, where your seasoned veterans are your best asset.
