Rumours had been swirling about Williams signing with Ottawa, $1.9 million a year for 3 years.

Question now is, is Murray that cheap a GM, that $300,000 stopped him? Or Williams wary to sign with the Sens based on the past season?

The Sens still have a couple of guys in-house to worry about yet before picking up extra parts.  Meszaros sticks out as one guy who’s waiting to get paid.

Meszaros and Vermette are our RFAs, both waiting to see what they can get, with Vermette the only one going to arbitration. As much as Sens fans know that signing during this time would make both open to offer sheets, the rumour persisted with great strength.

That head injury he got playing his last year with the Wings really seemed to change his game.

No kidding.  He was a pretty useful player before the concussion - even after his recovery he was never quite the same.  Always good in the shootouts, though.  What a shame.
