Oh, the pain. I’m not sure I can take this. The cap went up, right? Some guys left, right? We should have some money left over… gulp… somewhere.
There are places on the internet where I won’t be able to show my face again if we sign Belfour. This is too much!

I’d rather have Hasek. As much as people play up his antics, its really media created. Had he born in North America, and had a normal North American Accent, I assure you no one would be blaming him (just as theres no blame placed on Eddie Belfour for being injured many many times).
The same thing happened to Jagr too. Maybe its the Czech accent that people don’t like or something? I don’t know.

I’d rather have Eddie in net in a playoff game than Manny - any day. I heard 500k per, not breaking the bank either for veteran depth. Is it possible this guy can still play at a high level for his standards?

At just 41 years old, he lowers the Red Wings’ average age and is part of their youth movement.

What a way to cap off Yzerman’s retirement and Holland sitting on his arse while free agents and Shanahan both chose other destinations…by signing a guy that 3/4ths of Red Wings fans hate.
Nice. This must be hockey speak for “PR disaster.”
