From the Canadian Press,
A statement of claim filed in Ontario court by Moore’s lawyer and obtained by CBC alleges that Crawford pointed to Moore’s name and number on a board in the Canucks dressing room during the second intermission of that game and said “. . . (Moore) must pay the price.”
In an accompanying document, Moore’s lawyer claims Crawford’s statement was disclosed by Bertuzzi while under oath, and by Canucks GM Dave Nonis.

added 8:09am (Paul), Crawford’s reaction to the report via Inside the Kings,
“I don’t think this is the forum to be talking about that. We’ve got enough of our own issues here with the Los Angeles Kings. Those are the things that I’m concerned about. I’m not concerned about anything that’s said otherwise.”

Doesn’t really suprise me, particularly given Crawford’s history of putting out his goons in the final minutes of a game. However, that still doesn’t excuse the way Bertuzzi went about injuring Moore. You want to right a perceived wrong on the ice, fine. Do it the proper way by facing your opponent and dropping your gloves.

Not really a surprise… I think most hockey fans sort of expected that it happened this way. Everyone knows Crawford is a piece of garbage.
Not sure if I have this quote verbatim, but, “Marc, I know your father, and right now he wouldn’t be very proud of you.”

This is crap being thrown by Moore. The term “pay the price” is widely used by players and teams and commentators to imply hitting a player often and as hard as you can, not to go sucker punch a guy from behind. Unless Crawford said something MUCH more inflammatory, this is going nowhere.
