via Sportsnet,
Newly hired Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Dave King spent Tuesday night in a Seattle hospital.
Unconfirmed by the Coyotes, a source told sportsnet.ca the 61-year-old suffered what was believed to be a heart attack in the dressing room prior to a pre-season game in Seattle against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Paramedics worked on King as he was taken away on a stretcher.
added 5:29pm, The Bill Watters Show on 640am reporting it may have been low blood sugar.
The best suggestion, let’s wait for an official word on this.
added 5:58pm, via Aaron Portzline’s Twitter,
Dave King’s wife Linda says the sportsnet.ca report of heart attack is “absolutely not true.” He was faint, but tests show his heart is fine
I have to say, pretty shabby reporting from Sportsnet.

Don’t forget Dwayne on Trade Deadline Day a couple of years ago…On the plus side, they do broadcast NHL games.

ITs sportsnet,. what else do you expect?
Sportsnet used to be my favorite website to go to for hockey info, that was until i smarted up and found Tsn, kuklaskorner, and spectorshockey. Sportsnet always jumps the gun and then ends up retracting stories. I think the last straw for me, was when they had eklund as their insider on the trade deadline. Eklund then proceeded to get EVERYTHING WRONG, then correct the news as it appeared on TSN among various other sites

Is anybody remotely surprised that Sportsnet reported something that wasn’t even remotely true?
Off the top of my head:
-Dave King’s “heart attack”
-Hudler re-signing to stay in Detroit
-Ryan Smyth re-signing in Edmonton
-Paul Kariya signing in SJ
These guys just have no credibility.
