Report- Frolov Signing With The Rangers

Thanks to a Jay Gold tweet, I found this translated report from SovSport stating Alexander Frolov is signing with the New York Rangers.
Of course, most of us have dealt with Russian reports before, so let’s wait to see where this goes.

Was told Rangers and Alexander Frolov are “in discussions” but deal isn’t done just yet.
added 6:43pm, from Scott Burnside of ESPN,
The New York Rangers are on the verge of signing unrestricted free agent winger Alexander Frolov, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com Monday evening.
The two sides were close to a deal Monday evening with the term of the contract still yet to be agreed upon by the two sides, the source said.
Frolov made $4 million last season and his salary cap hit was $2.9 million.

The Rangers have three huge problems.
1. They are saddled with dead wood players on huge cap eating contracts.
2. They don’t draft very well. ( This years kid will be another bust mark my words.)
3. Their coach is a lunatic. 3a. Their GM retired 15 years ago.
