WFAN in New York reporting Scott Gomez to Rangers.
Thanks to a trusted KK member for the tip.
added 4:12pm, Follow along here at Rangers Report…
So we go around in a circle. That is why it is listed as a report. Will it happen who knows, but it was on WFAN.
added 4:25pm, Now WFAN stating they never reported a signing. The source who passed this on is good as gold. As regular KK readers know, I don’t toss junk out. I still back the source, and you would to.
update 7:00pm, E.J. Hradek reporting via ESPN News Gomez is a Ranger.
Update 7:55pm ET
Story has now opened up to include both Gomez AND Chris Drury signed by Rangers today. More here.

WFAN knows nothing about hockey, don’t believe it till you see it from TSN or Sportsnet.
WFAN is the flagship of the Devils, so it’s not like they’d have inside info.

WFAN never has any hockey news. They are also broadcasting a Mets game, and the Mets have a player named Gomez.

Paul, trust me, I’d rescind this one for now. They probably got it two hours late from an outdated hockey blog.

It is listed as a report from a sports station. We can leave it at that, but it was heard, 100% sure of that.

There is no way WFAN could report this they are airing the MEts-Philly’s game from 12:55 to 5 pm and they don’t do up dates during games. Look at the schedule. What the tipster might have heard would be speculation from a previous show if he was listening online because they can’t stream the Mets game online.

Sounds like a bunch of nervous Devil fans...Understandable with Rafalski and Gomez gone

According to Rangers Report, WFAN denies making that report.

C.J and Jim, sorry you feel that way. But WFAN actually broke into the ballgame to report this. It will come out but then again, you may not believe anything.
