Report: Phaneuf on Verge of New Flames Deal

From TSN,

It looks like the Calgary Flames are close to locking up one of their cornerstone players.

Sources tell TSN that Dion Phaneuf is on the verge of signing a contract extension with the club, with only a few minor details to be worked out.

added 8:27am, from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

For those of you obsessed with those silly Dion Phaneuf rumors being spread by the uninformed, TSN is reporting tonight that he’s on the verge of signing an extension with the Calgary Flames. That should put an end of all of the speculation.

By the way, I’ve been told that a certain blogger has been taking Devils’ info off of this site and posting it on his site without attribution. I hope it isn’t true because that would be unethical.

Well stated Tom!

Hey Dion, it’s #11 on the Wings, just in case you forgot smile

Can’t wait to see the numbers and the length of the contract.
