While the announcement was unclear Thursday morning, there have been indications for months that majority owner Bob Naegele was considering selling the team.

Good news is that Craig won’t have to worry about meeting minimum attendance requirements with the Wild, lol.

Leipold is the owner who forced the Predators to self-destruct.  He did this to make money.  Despite the BS he is now spewing, I would not want this guy to be owner of any team.

Hopefully he guts the Wild like he did with the Preds.  He is the absolute pinnacle of what you dont want in an owner.  Instead of trying to move the preds to a more formidable environment he gutted the roster (which may or may not have been stanley cup caliber).  Now he’s moving onto Minnesota.  Sorry Wild fans, hope you make him money or he’s gonna gut your roster, sell the team and then move on somewhere else.  I dont blame him for selling preds b/c he was losing money, but what a slap in the face to the fans that did show up, watching their once mighty squad of one year ago slug it out to stay .500, last in the central division.

He may have been losing a little money in cash flow, but his equity grew like crazy.  I think he made $30 million overall on the Preds.  He will probably do triple that when he guts and sells the Wild.
