Roenick Having Shoulder Surgey

from David Pollak of Working the Corners,
Two injury updates from the morning skate:
Joe Pavelski could be in the lineup against L.A. on Monday night, but just in case he isn’t, the Sharks plan to call up another forward from Worcester. Nothing official yet, but Jamie McGinn would be a pretty good guess.
And Jeremy Roenick will have arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder tomorrow. That decision means he’s definitely going to be out of action longer than the three-week forecast given yesterday, but just how much longer won’t be known until the procedure is completed and the training staff knows what it’s up against.
continue for more on the Sharks
I wonder if the Sharks would attempt to bring up Claude Lemieux who would have to clear waivers first?

not to be rude, but who would pick up Claude Lemieux? The Avs? The Rangers....the Stars?

Lemieux is on AHL contract. So should the Sharks sign Lemieux to NHL deal, there would be no waivers to worry about.
However, during 12/4 ‘cast, Sharks broadcasters indicated that there is no plan for (NHL) Sharks to sign Lemieux.
With Roenick out, it appears that Jamie McGinn has been recalled. (He was not in AHL Worcester lineup Sunday afternoon.)

Still a little bitter about the hit Roenick took to hurt his shoulder, looked like boarding to me. Anaheim getting away with murder, what else is new?
