from Spector at Fox Sports,
With the training camps of the NHL’s 30 teams due to begin in less than a month’s time the general managers will be preparing to evaluate their rosters to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
Some teams, however, could head into training camp with some glaring weaknesses that have yet to be addressed. In the first of a two-part look at the Western Conference teams we examine their respective roster needs.
Anaheim Ducks: Unlike most of the teams on this list the Ducks appeared to sufficiently address their needs during the offseason. They added second-line offensive depth by bringing back Joffrey Lupul and signing free-agent center Saku Koivu. They’ll miss defenseman Chris Pronger’s physical two-way play but replaced him with more blueline depth by re-signing James Wiesniewski and acquiring Nick Boynton and Luca Sbisa.
