from Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News,
Some big changes are in store for the Buffalo Sabres’ lineup when they meet the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in HSBC Arena.
Up from Portland is right winger Mark Mancari and in from the scratch list is defenseman Nathan Paetsch. Sentenced to seats in the press box are two longtime regulars—defenseman Henrik Tallinder and winger Maxim Afinogenov.
“Part of it is production and part of it is defensive play,” Ruff said. “Play away from the puck is important and those stats aren’t very good and his stats offensively aren’t very good. I’ve told the players I’m not going the easy route anymore.”

It seems like no one is talking about the elephant in the room in Buffalo. Ryan Miller is awful. Bad goaltending will rip the heart out of any team real quick.

hopefully mancaris winning attitude from portland can bring some life to the sabres lineup cause damn those portland boys are freaking hot right now.
max deserves to sit, and he is the turnover king. i love his speed but he is more of a problem then anything these days. Three years ago and i would be on my knees for the guy but now im counting the days untill a team picks this guy up.
