Hollweg returns from suspension and promplty hits Alex Pietrangelo of the Blues from behind, 5 minute major and a game. I do believe an automatic suspension comes with it, possibly three games.

If it wasn’t a bad hit, and the refs blew it, then I would hope that the league wouldn’t suspend him or anything once they look at it. But if it was a dirty hit, well then they need to get serious with him, they need to suspend him for a long ass time, and get the point across that this kinda stuff is dangerous and won’t be accepted any more.

Alright, that video kind of makes me rethink it. It looked to me like the guy saw Hollweg coming and intentionally turned his back to him right as Hollweg went to hit him. If thats the case, I feel sorry for Hollweg, cus not only do the refs look for him and try to catch him doing anything, but now the players are trying to buy penalties out of him.

I didn’t watch the video, but from watching him as a Ranger I know that Hollweg just doesn’t think. He goes for the big hit EVERY TIME and it gets him in trouble more often than not.

The refs blew this call. No way was it a dirty hit whatsoever, but I suppose that when you are well known for being dirty that you won’t be given the benefit of the doubt. Hollweg is on probation I suppose. It is his own fault, but no he isn’t going to be able to hit anyone without being called on a penalty.
