At least Mayers had the common sense to stop when it was clear Wilson was down and not going to resume… I can think of plenty of players around the NHL that simply would have continued whaling away at him.

Hopefully Wilson is okay and can return soon. I like Jamal Mayers and it is good to see that there is still a code of conduct with some players in the league.
