Salo Back With Vancouver

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that defenceman Sami Salo has been recalled from his conditioning assignment with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Cody Hodgson has been re-assigned to Manitoba.

Salo, 23, appeared in three games for Manitoba, recording two goals and two penalty minutes during his conditioning assignment. The 6’3”, 212 pound defenceman has played 665 career NHL games, recording 273 points (81-192-273) and 228 penalty minutes.

Yeah that caught my eye too, since I remember him on the Sens way back when.  He’s 36

But a 23 year old with 665 nhl games under his belt would be quite a sight.
