Saskatchewan Gets WJC

It’s official: Hockey Canada announced Monday that Saskatoon and Regina have landed the 2010 world junior hockey championships.

The Saskatoon/Regina group had been bidding on either the 2010 or 2012 championships.

“You started the bar to grow in this championship and I know we’ll be able to do a better and better job every time we host in this province,” said Hockey Canada’s Bob Nicholson as he made the announcement.

Excellent. Now to convince my bosses that we need to buy a box - or at least some seats - for the tournament and I’m in!
