What a horrible contract. This is nearly as bad as the contract the Leafs gave Finger.

The Pens are kicking themselves for this one. They shouldn’t had let him reach July 1st. Now they’re down 2 defenseman already. I guess there’s always Jordan Leopold if he doesn’t sign with Florida.

UMMM Josh stick to your cluster**** team in TB, He wanted to go into free agency & get the Money
Alex Goligoski was resigned & they have Ben Lovejoy & they will sign a Vet too
See that’s what happens when you are a Good, No Great team
You have players to replace the Players you can’t resign because of the cap

I love comments like that. Fans like you are the ones who are OK with their idiot GMs overpaying just so a guy stays then complain when they don’t have the cap space for more important players.
Thank god Shero let him go. 3.4 million? Are you kidding me? Good for Scuds, great for him actually, but thank god its not the Pens paying that much.

And don’t forget Brian Strait. He was a great shut down guy in college and will definitely fight to get that 6th spot.

The Kings are getting a very good stay-at-home defenseman. I’ll miss Scuderi. But I’m very happy Shero didn’t offer more than $2 million for him.

4 year, 3.4 million a year is a lot of money for a good # 4-5 defensive defenseman. That being said, congrats on the contract Scuds. You Played for small potatoes all those years and are a good person who deserves to be rewarded. Just happy its not the pens shelling out that kind of cash.
