from Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun,
Bryan Murray will be back as Senators GM after accepting a 3-year contract Friday.
“We’re looking forward to implementing his vision for the team, which is to bring it back to elite status,” owner Eugene Melnyk said at Scotiabank Place. “I think we’re getting there.
“We’ve talked about it for a long time. This is not something that was done on a fly.
An announcement will be made on coach Cory Clouston at the conclusion of the season.
It’s strongly believed he will not be back.

You guys all know – they don’t want Ottawa to play the Penguins in the playoffs. That’s fine. That was fairly obvious from the drop of the puck this season.
I suggest the Senators don’t want to get beat up by the hard-hitting Penguins.
In a seven game series, if you don’t like the physical way the Penguins play, it’s probably better to stay away.

Was Don Wadell the only other interested party?

so signing an Over the hill Injury Plagued Gonchar & letting Volchenkov walk, firing a coach he had just hired & now they are most likely firing Clouston.
That gets you a 3 year extension!? wow !!

This is a travesty. A bad day to be a Sens fan.
The owner of this club has shown extremely poor judgment today.

‘E’ from Entourage was the Islanders’ guest-coach for an actual NHL game about a month ago.
