Senators Win, But Lose Two

from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,

But if the Senators make the playoffs, they’ll be lucky to have enough healthy bodies. Captain Daniel Alfredsson, who is believed to have a concussion, exited two minutes into the second with the club called an “upper body injury” and centre Mike Fisher left with a leg injury in the first period.

Senators assistant coach Greg Carvel told the club’s pay-per-view broadcast that both injuries were “serious” and that neither player would be in the lineup tonight against the Bruins.

Clean hit (as a Sens fan) but really classless fans at the ACC cheering when he was down on the ice and Booing when he got up

That was classless.  That really sucks for you guys.  The Sens without Alfreddson is going to be tough.  I don’t know about clean hit (his elbow went into Alfie’s face) but hopefully your team still does ok.  Maybe they’ll get some passion in the game back and play for their hurt Captain.

Yeah, last I checked leading with your elbow did not usually result in a clean hit…

... And Mark Bell has a bit of a reputation for poor judgment, too.

Looked like shoulder to me, with the elbow coming up on the follow through.

Does anybody think that looked so different from Neil’s hit on Drury last year?  Karma’s jumps up and bites you sometimes.  Oh yeah, tighten the chin strap Alfie, that way the helmet can do it’s job.
