Sending The Wrong Message

The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council today released its decision concerning comments made on an episode of Bonsoir les sportifs broadcast on CKAC-AM (Montreal). Host Ron Fournier suggested that the Montreal Canadiens use violence against their opponents. The CBSC concluded that the broadcast violated the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Code of Ethics because it promoted violence contrary to Clause 9(a).

Protect your goalie sure but breaking your stick across his neck and cross-checking him into the glass?  Wow.  Someone definitely has the wrong idea.  But it’s still his opinion and he’s entitled to it.

But I agree, you don’t like what you’re listening to, change the channel.

Too Simple…
You have used scientific logic here, Paul.  That is beyond the comprehension of Law students, so they just don’t bother teaching it in Law school.
