Sens/Oilers Talking Deal

Sources tell TSN a Dany Heatley deal to the Oilers is getting close, but not yet finalized.

The expected deal would see Edmonton sending Andrew Cogliano, Dustin Penner and Ladislav Smid to the Senators in exchange for Heatley.

Heatley will be required to waive his no-trade clause.

Sources tell Sportsnet that the Ottawa Senators have traded disgruntled all-star Dany Heatley to the Edmonton Oilers for Andrew Cogliano, Dustin Penner and Ladislav Smid.

added 7/1/09 12:05am, RDS (translated) says Heatley will not waive his NTC.

Bob McKenzie of TSN says deal is dead.
