Today represents the 35th anniversary of the 1972 Summit series. From the CP,
Henderson will mark the anniversary giving motivational speeches at a leadership conference at an inn north of Toronto.
Canadians who watched the live Summit Series broadcasts will never forget the drama that unfolded.
And Joe Pelletier has put together some selected works, if you’d like to blast back to the past:

Another related article, from The Telegram,
Alan Eagleson breaks out into loud laughter. The irony of the situation is not lost on the former Canadian hockey czar.
He’s recalling a trip to Moscow last month where the Russians celebrated the anniversary of the epic ‘72 Summit Series, which ended 35 years ago today around 2 p.m. EDT.
“They score!” Foster Hewitt cried into television sets across Canada. “(Paul) Henderson has scored for Canada!”
It’s mid-August and Eagleson and former National Hockey League president John Ziegler have escaped the broiling Moscow heat to a banquet room and a dinner being held in honour of the CCCP hockey team from ‘72. Many of the players are there, some of whom are still involved in the game in some way or another.
