Sharks Dominated

from Gary Peterson of the Mercury News,
The home crowd booed its way to the exits. The Sharks seemed somewhat less affected.
“We’ve got a good veteran club here,” Joe Thornton said afterward. “You know, we lost Game 1 last year against Calgary.”
The outcome went over poorly with the home crowd in part because the prelude was so delicious. The final strains of the national anthem were still echoing through the building when the two sides began pounding one another like brothers

Dominated? They outshot Anahiem 35-17 and they hit 2 posts. For all the criticism that Thornton and Marleau are getting for their combined 2 shots, Getzlaf and Perry only comibned for 2 shots as well. Honestly the Ducks didnt play that well, Hiller stood on his head and stole the game.

I think Paul meant ‘dominated’ as a past-tense verb, not an adjective. If you click through, the article’s headline is “Sharks dominate except on board”.

Thanks, Ryan. That makes a million times more sense.

They outshot Anahiem 35-17
And most of that difference was from shots by the defense. If Brad Lukowich (0 goals this year) is outshooting the likes of Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Michalek, Clowe, and Cheechoo (a combined 145 goals), how many games do you think the Sharks will win?

I must have been watching a different game than you, all I saw was the easiest 35 shot game a goalie could ask for—and I’ve seen plenty of them, I’m a Wings fan.

Sorry, the headline could be read both ways and my intention was what Ryan wrote.

Well because your a Wings Fan you obviously want the Sharks to lose. 35 easy shots? what about Anaheim’s 17? I guess they were 17 hard shots in your opinion as well.

Why oh why do Sharks fans boo their own?
It makes a hippy sad.

“Dominated?” I don’t know if anyone saw it that way, but OK.
