Sharks Look To Pick-Up The Pace

Thornton prefers to take the half-full view of the Sharks, noting that nothing is ever won in January; that Cheechoo was showing signs of life just before the break after a slow start recovering from abdominal surgery. As for Marleau, it is hard to imagine a player who’d averaged more than a point a game in each of the two post-lockout seasons, could have as poor a finish as he did a start to the year.
“I know Patrick and Cheech are going to get going,” said Thornton, who was finally re-united on a line with Cheechoo just before the break.
