from the AFP via the Eonomic Times,
Watching Maria Sharapova’s curvaceous figure hugged by a crystal-spangled red dress in her second-round victory at the US Open, it’s hard to imagine such beauty buried under ice hockey pads.
“It used to be when I was growing up, it was gymnastics,” Sharapova said. “I always wanted to be a rhythmic gymnast - I grew a little too fast for that - and (play) hockey.”
more... A day of upsets, Sharapova lost her third round match today and if you are a college football fan, can you say Appalachian State?

i wished i could of seen the michgan game but the big ten wants to charge comcast customers a heavy price to see their games.
if you are a comcast customer and the big ten net was on your basic digital package, your montly bill would of gone up 4%

Well, she’d probably show more grit and physicality than most of the primas the Wings have currently. And she couldn’t be any worse than useless scrubs like Lebda and Lilja.

Hell, she’s taller than Lebs, Kronner, Rafalski, and Cheli…We could use a big right-shooting defenceman with a hard shot and a mean streak…
Ah, Maria…She’s quite the willowy wallflower.
And Thomas, got the weekend off from kindergarten!

Willowy wallflower, hard shot, mean streak, and a lot of balls.
