From Mike Toth at Sportsnet.ca,
With their record of sustained excellence over the past 16 years, the Detroit Red Wings definitely qualify as hockey royalty.
And since Detroit Rock City appears to be rolling to another Stanley Cup, it’s time to connect the red and white dots.
So, with apologies to Kevin Bacon, we proudly present Six Degrees of Stanley: The Red Wings Way.

In addition to shep’s comment, I’m pretty sure that Kevin Bacon is from Pittsburgh.

Maybe if the degrees actually meshed together at ALL??? I was expecting something kool like Red Wings have Babcock, he married the janitor at Pittsburg arena’s daughter, who was an uncle to Darryl Sittler, who liked Jaguar cars, which are now owned by Ford Motors, who’s head office is Detriot for North America, which is where the Red Wings play. Oh, and someone on the Red Wings is the great grandson four times removed of the guy that stamped the Stanley Cup for Detriots first Cup win.
But no…..

I’ve never been to the Detroit Eatery. May have to check it out. I guess the odds are pretty slim Draper brings the cup there again, eh?

I thought Kevin Bacon was from the Philly area, not Pittsburgh, but regardless, I didn’t get the article at all.

Toth should have read the Wiki link, I don’t think he gets it. Or maybe it’s just the clumsy way he’s trying to shoe-horn the idea into a sports article.
Either way, lameness abounds.
