Well, the Stars can play with all of the “bravado and arrogance” they can muster and they’re still fighting an uphill battle because those two traits are trumped every time be skill and tenacity. And that’s something the Stars didn’t face in their first two series.

I think last night was a huge “Whew!” for all Wings fans. Was the seven-day layoff going to make them lazy. Would they take the game seriously? Questions asked and answered...in spades.

This team is a Babcockian masterpiece. Star goal-scorers playing great defense. Role players stepping up and doing more than should be expected of them. They’re the perfect combination of speed, grit and professionalism.

So, bring on the “bravado and arrogance” next game, Dallas. And the Wings will stick with putting Homer’s and Mule’s big butts in Turco’s face. I’m betting that the butts win.

Maybe it’s about time we post the section of the NHL rulebook that explains that being in the blue does NOT constitute goaltender interference.

They changed that rule a while ago… Dallas fans and writers should know this very well for a certain reason…

I wonder if Holmstrom was pushing to see if he could “get away with one” because he knows there will be several times later in the series when goals are disallowed despite his being (just) outside the crease.

Maybe some of the coaches don’t know the rule themselves?  There seems to be a lot of confusion on their part.
