from On the Rangers Beat at Newsday,
In a serious blow to the Rangers’ offense, Martin Straka, who missed 15 games with a broken finger, but sparked a resurgence of the first line when he returned, is out indefinitely with a concussion he suffered Saturday in the Edmonton game. Nigel Dawes skated in Straka’s spot alongisde Jaormir Jagr and Scott Gomez in practice today.
Also not skating was Brendan Shanahan, whose left knee injury was described as a bad bruise and coach Tom Renney described the veteran’s status as “day-to-day.”
