Talk Of A Malkin Deal

Malkin’s agent, JP Barry, told us over the weekend that talks with Penguins general manager Ray Shero regarding a long-term extension for Malkin are “going well.” Barry still believes that deal should be signed in “early July.”
Chipped Ice has learned Malkin’s deal will likely be worth at least $42.5 million over five years – an $8.5 million cap hit for the Penguins.
