Put in HOFer Denis Potvin (TV guy since Day 1), Bill Torrey too. I say the Panthers also honor Bobby Clarke and Roger Neilson.
And, if and when Dino Ciccarelli (1998-99) finally goes into the Hall, honor him as well.
Put in Pavel Bure now. When Olli Jokinen says goodbye to the game, he goes in too. That’s a no-brainer. Joe Nieuwendyk? In. Roberto Luongo? Done.
This franchise needs to be more about hockey and less about putting ads on anything bolted down. More about honoring the game and less about inflatable cows, dancing girls and dancing bananas.
If the Panthers put hockey first, they might get more respect around the league, might turn on people in this market to their product.

A ridiculous article. I can somewhat understand the writer wishing the cats would honor Larionov, but really… if the pople in your team’s HoF are a joke, the HoF itself is a joke.
Vanbiesbrouck? Can see it. To me, he’s always a Ranger, yet he met his biggest success in that fluke Panther run to the Finals
Pavel Bure? No. He’s a Canuck, not a Panther. Get over it. He played in only 4 playoff games for the Panthers, and over 4 seasons played only about 2 1/2 seasons worth of games.
Joe Nieuwendyk? No, really?
Dino Ciccarelli?
Better yet… how about trying to grow your own stars instead of trying to claim and cling to stars from other teams in the twilight of their careers. Then again, I guess that’d involve the Panthers not trading those stars away in the prime…
